Ludacris visited a high school in South Florida on Wednesday with a very generous gift.

The 42-year-old multi-hyphen surprised students at Hialeah-Miami Lakes High School with $ 75,000 in music equipment. The donation was part of StubHub’s #TicketForward program, a collaborative initiative with Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation that aims to invest $ 3 million in public school music programs.

“I understand the importance of music education,” Ludacris told students, as reported by NBC Philadelphia. “It is very important for me.”

As part of her visit, Luda participated in a question-and-answer session at a school-wide assembly, sharing tips for students and encouraging them to never give up.

“If it weren’t for people reaching out to me and giving me that confidence, I wouldn’t be here today,” he said. “If you’re knocked down nine times, you get up 10. Just keep going.”

Along with the new gear, Ludacris also surprised school group principal Kevin Segura with two Super Bowl tickets.

“We have instruments held together with duct tape, they don’t move, they get bumped,” Segura said. “So these instruments are going to improve our sound and motivate the kids to want to do a band, so hopefully I can build this program back to what it once was … I’m really, really excited that I’m ‘I’m going to at the game I didn’t think I was going to go so it was a nice surprise for me.
